Inherited this, there's no situation that could get me fishing in the winter. It does work perfect, can be used through the hull of a boat as well as ice. It takes two 9 volt batteries. Reads from 3 ft., to 199 ft., with 1.25 inch accuracy. Waterproof, and floats. Display is backlit for night time too.
