Looking for a Dental Assistant. It is challenging to identify quality applicants, and though we prefer applicants with dental training or dental experience with valid CPR and Ohio Dental Radiography license, we will gladly train a quality applicant and assist them in obtaining CPR and Radiography licensure.
Looking for a person who has the following:a pleasant caring personality , outstanding interpersonal skills, a collegial TEAM PLAYER, quick learner, self motivated with a STRONG WORK ETHIC, patience, attention to detail, someone who has much 'common sense', and has control of any life issues that could prevent them from being a dependable employee.
The number of hours and/or days worked for this position is determined by how busy the practice is on a given day or week, the needs of the practice and the skills of the assistant. Should be approximately 30-45 hours per week.
Daily starting times may vary, but are typically between 8am and 11 am. Quitting time varies but is when all patient care and tasks are completed and the office/operatory areas are ready for utilization the next work day, or when informed by the dentist or designee that your work day has ended. Typically the end of the work day is between 6:00 and 6:30 pm....but could be earlier or later on any given day. Our office is closed for patient care most Fridays and weekends; but staff members may be scheduled periodically/rotating on Friday's to handle phone calls, schedule patients, confirm insurances, order supplies and for office maintenance.
Duties of this position include but not limited to chair side assisting, processing radiographs, taking medical history's, sterilization, operatory cleaning, answering and returning phone calls, scheduling, submitting and processing insurance authorizations and claims, billing, chart maintenance, organizing supplies, cleaning, and miscellaneous tasks needed to maintain the dental practice and its facility.
Experience or dental training is preferred, but will gladly train a motivated quality individual. Compensation is negotiable.
