Growing demolition contracting company, headquartered in Ann Arbor, MI seeks hands on, energetic, entrepreneurial team member to bid demolition projects through out the state of Ohio.

Individual will be responsible for seeking out bidding opportunities, bidding projects by visiting projects sites and reviewing blue prints, and follow up on bids until project award. Individual must work well with limited supervision and must immediately demonstrate the ability to bid and obtain demolition contracting work. Multitasking and ability to adapt to change is a must.

Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

Estimating
� Attend pre bid meetings.
� Seek out bid opportunities.
� Review plans and specifications and develop an accurate estimate using Microsoft Excel.
� Turn in accurate bids on time by driving them to public openings or faxing them to the client, whichever appropriate.
� Follow up on bids to ensure contract award.
� Negotiate contracts.
� Communicate our work responsibilities to trades people.
� Develop contacts in the industry to ensure for regular demolition work.

Individual must possess, or have the ability to learn, the following skills:
� Strong minded and strong can-do attitude.
� Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
� Ability to solve problems
� Ability to negotiate contracts for the good of the company.
� Microsoft Office skills including being an expert at Microsoft Excel.

Requirements:
� Minimum 5 years construction experience.
� Minimum 2 years estimating experience in a construction trade (demolition not required).
� Knowledge of means and methods of demolition trade.
� Ability to read blueprints and specifications.

� Some college or college degree preferred although not necessary.
� Own vehicle that can be used for business use in exchange for gas reimbursement.

Ideal candidate would be someone who has owned a construction contracting company, worked for a demolition contracting company, or has been a construction estimator for a commercial contractor.

Compensation is negotiable but the total compensation package would start at $32,000 per year + commission and would include a base wage, commission based on estimating success, company phone, mileage reimbursement.
