On Tuesday, the BeInstrumental Foundation, a Toledo-based nonprofit organization, will hold a musical instrument drive and scholarship fund-raiser from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at Manhattan's. It will include a wine-tasting and a jazz concert to benefit local aspiring musicians. Jazz drummer Damen Cook will headline the evening of music, gourmet food, and wine courtesy of Manhattan's and Uptown Vineyard. Tickets are $25, with proceeds supporting the scholarship fund.
The public may drop off new or used instruments at the restaurant beginning at 5 p.m.The instruments will be refurbished and offered free of charge to local inner-city schools and community organizations. Information and reservations from Jeff Green at 567-343-2274 or green@beinstrumental.org.
